I recently discovered this wonderful gem of a store called
Simply Beautiful. Set against the majestic backdrop of the Colorado Rockies, it doesn’t get better then this! It recently opened its doors for business and I have a strong hunch it will be a great success. It is located in Fort Collins, Colorado and carries a large inventory of pre-owned furnishings, accessories and consignments. What makes it so unique and special is the creative force of the gracious proprietor, Edie Barton. She has an excellent eye for classy style and has filled her lovely shop with an eclectic mix of amazing great bargains.

On this visit I met the warm and friendly Edie for the first time and was impressed with her new business venture, which is why I am sharing it here! I love jewels like this because you can really make your decorating dollars stretch to the maximum without sacrificing quality or style. There was an abundant variety of offerings and great bargains to be had.

These are my favorite types of stores to frequent. If I lived closer this would become one of my regular places to hunt for decorating treasures. I saw many splendid items I would have loved to purchase, but I was traveling by plane so could not take advantage. However, I managed to find something sensational to tuck in my suitcase. It was a beautiful marble stand, with an Art Nouveau metal base that weighed so much I was afraid it would put my luggage over the limit! Once I spotted it I had to have it, so threw caution to the wind and carted it all the way home. It is not pictured here, but I promise to show a photo once I find the perfect spot for it.

Edie obviously knows quality furnishings and it shows. She impressed me with her ability to identify and collect so many pieces at such excellent prices.

The showroom was organized and well lit. The items for sale are exceptionally clean and fresh something that is very important to me when shopping pre-owned! Those of you lucky enough to be in the area drop by
Simply Beautiful for a visit; it is definitely worth the trip!

Hi Cathy...
Ohhh my...I was so surprised when I read your post about Simply Beautiful. I'm about 2 hrs. away from Ft. Collins, however when I go shopping this is where I go! This new shop has some gorgeous pieces in it and I can't wait to go and check it out next time I'm in Ft. Collins! I'm just a giggling...this is the first time since I've been blogging that I have come across anything remotely familiar to me!
Thank you for letting us know about this new shop and I can't wait to see the "pretty" that you took home with you!
Warmest wishes,

I can't wait to see your new piece in your home. I love these kinds of stores too. I have seen that antlered candelabra somewhere before, and I love it.
Hi Cathy, what a beautiful store! Well, I think your blog is beautiful too - and very stylish! Just like your heading! Since you are somewhat new to me and you have such a pretty blog, I have given you a Bella Award, come on by and check it out!

Hi Cathy,
The store is so beautiful and elegant. You captured some great photos of it. You have amazing taste so I know it's a nice place to shop.
I would love the striped pillows for my armed dining room chairs. I've seen a few bloggers display them like that and I think I will try it.
It sounds like you had a very nice trip. I can't wait to see what you brought home.
Thanks for coming by and your kindness.

So beautiful! I just got back from Brimfields Antique Fair today and my brain is filled with amazing beautiful things---that I wish that I could have gotten...
Cathy, I want that deer candelabra! Oh my! Ok, I have to ask, does she do phone orders? I want that deer! ;-) But no, I don want it... Ok, I do need to ask if the tag is something I can afford of course!
I meant to say, "But I DO want it..." ;-)
Hi Cathy...I hope you are having a lovely Sunday.
I need nothing...but how I love to look. However looking leads to wanting and wanting needs to buying and...well..you get my point
! :)
I want to thank you for stopping by and making a comment on the Farrah post. I know we all must go...but needless suffering is my concern. Always has been..if humans can be saved suffering..then I want to know how and if we need more research than instead of going to the moon, lets do that FIRST. I'm just sayin'! :)

I completely agree with you that in this day and age no one should have to suffer needlessly. It seems cruel bordering on inhuman not to have adequate pain control. When my loved one’s have needed meds Idid my best to make sure they had access to them. I have spoken to several friends about exactly this topic today and they all feel the same. I really respect Farrah for stepping forward and sharing her story. I always thought she was a great beauty but she has certainly proved herself to also be grace under fire. I think Farrah is in alot of people’s thoughts and prayers right now.
Hugs, Cathy
